Typography- magazine spread experiments
First mock up of a magazine ccover, i definately like photography for the subject but not sure about digital v lomo it seperates the page in half too much, want a more artistic approach |
much prefer the grungy style focusing on lomography only, this is just a mock up of my idea the images are not my own the photo of the girl by joyce law and the negiataves i found here |
just got in some dud text from indesign atm, dont think it translates to anything

Typeography - newspaper spread Research
Although im designing a newspaper spread magazines are alot more experimental with their type and show some great exaples of hierarchy ... so theres no harm in having a look
Chris Ashworth- Ray Gun magazine spreads
quite like the cut out images that dominate this page
the typography is laid out more like a newspaper
predominately type example..
some actual newspaper spreads...
a large image with the main story seems to be a common technique, the cut out parts of images along with the square one helps liven up the page

Photography Project
I am studying noise for my photography project
some examples of what other people have done with noise...
A few drops of paint vibrated on top of a balloon stretched over a speaker.
really like this ideas showing the effect of sound with other media
like the idea of the waves coming out of the speakers
I think i want to experiment with how to show noise through protography,
sight is the sense that we use to view photography, sound is removed,
i want and try and bring the sound into the photo visually
other people have used paint and light
ill experiment with these and try think of other things to use other things too
